Operational standards

competencies

One of the key risks on the construction site is related to vertical transport. To further control this risk, the Developer’s Alliance group has implemented a training standard for slinger and signalist. Before starting work on the construction site, each slinger and signalist is required to undergo training in vertical transport safety and receives a helmet sticker confirming that he can attach/direct vertical transport of loads with a crane.

loading platforms

In order to further increase the safety of works related to vertical transport, on the construction sites members of the developers’ agreement, allow only system statically safe (calculated/secured against side impact with the transported load) loading platforms  of a new type (the loading platform frame is rigidly fastened with a connector with the outrigger ceiling struts).

lifts

For the vertical transport of material, we use lifts with additional roofing as protection against falling materials from a height. The barriers at the stops of individual floors are in accordance with the law (railings and toe boards).

working at height
competencies

On our construction sites, internal training is conducted for our employees and contractor employees on the principles of safe work at heights, including work planning and the proper selection of collective and individual protection systems.

edge guardrail

Statistically, a fall from a height is one of the most common causes of serious and fatal accidents. When working at height, we use only system edge protection (steel mesh and steel post), the use of wood for railings is kept to a minimum. The base of the system posts is matched to the structural element to which it is mounted (e.g. special grips for formwork girders, Larsen, etc.)

working at height
stairs

To move between different levels, we use steel system stairs (not wooden), the use of a ladder as a communication route is limited to a minimum.

railing balconies

Balcony slabs are additionally secured with temporary system barriers until the final balcony barrier is installed.

logistics
wheel and pedestrian traffic

Workers hit by moving vehicles on construction sites are a very common cause of serious accidents. At our construction sites, we take care of the segregation of vehicular and pedestrian traffic through physical separation with system barriers of pedestrian/truck routes.

other
site welfare

On our construction sites, we use only system construction containers/facilities of a good standard. We use only system steel stairs and balustrades when stacking containers.

other
re-bar protection

We secure all rebars/rods, which may pose a risk of injury in the event of an employee tripping/falling.
